Beyond the Pill has been selected as a grantee for the Institute for Women’s Policy Research’s (IWPR) newly launched Connect for Success (CFS) program. This first-of-its-kind initiative will support Beyond the Pill’s work to improve reproductive health and gender equity among community college students across the US, including research from our REACH Youth study. Beyond the Pill will work with IWPR over a two-year period to share findings and identify solutions to support students facing the greatest barriers to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care services and support.
As one of 11 grantees, Beyond the Pill will join a network of organizations dedicated to supporting SRH care for community college students, allowing us to build partnerships and share knowledge to increase the impact of our work. The CFS initiative also supports convenings between grantees and key stakeholders, including community partners, policymakers, college administrators, and students, to collaborate on effective strategies for addressing the SRH needs of community college students.
Community college students need full access to high quality, comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care services in order to thrive. Through the support of the CFS program, Beyond the Pill is excited to elevate our ongoing efforts to support community college students, share key research findings, and collaborate on policy solutions to facilitate reproductive health, autonomy, and gender equity for young people across the country.
