Luz Gonzalez (she/her) is a dedicated healthcare leader and advocate with over 11 years of nursing experience and a Master of Science in Nursing Education. As the Associate Dean of Health Services and Promotion at Dallas College, Luz brings a robust background in community health to her mission of advancing student well-being. She has spearheaded innovative initiatives, including the implementation of collaborative health and wellness fairs and the integration of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness into programming and online curriculum, providing a holistic framework for student health promotion.
Under her leadership, the department has launched mobile vaccine clinics, established partnerships with Parkland and CPAL to expand sexual and reproductive health services, and created welcoming lactation spaces across multiple campuses. Luz also developed effective onboarding protocols to ensure her team delivers exemplary nursing services while fostering a holistic and collaborative environment.
