Training Coordinator

The UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health has an opening for a Training Coordinator for the Beyond the Pill Program. This position will coordinate and implement a national training program dedicated to ensuring that the full range of contraceptive methods is available to all people. This evidence-based program seeks to increase the competency of health care providers to overcome barriers to offering all birth control methods and to provide patient-centered counseling, with a focus on advancing health equity and upholding reproductive autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clinics, organizations, and stakeholders to schedule, plan, and implement contraceptive trainings throughout the US (in-person and virtual).
  • Assess training needs, coordinate with trainers, market trainings, and ensure quality standards.
  • Attend trainings and conferences, and serve as representative for Beyond the Pill.
  • Work closely with the training team to modify the curriculum, develop new resources, and provide technical assistance and follow-up to trained sites as needed.
  • Collect and manage training data, manage purchase orders and reimbursements, and maintain CME accreditation.
  • Contribute to data analyses and reports.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and strengthen the training program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of assisting, administering, organizing, or conducting training programs
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail
  • Regular travel to trainings and meetings throughout the U.S.
  • Commitment to socioeconomic and racial/ethnic justice

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in public health or similar field
  • Prior experience in the reproductive health field in training, service provision, research or administration
  • Demonstrated expertise in contraceptive education and counseling
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theories & education methodologies
