Training Coordinator
The UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health has an opening for a Training Coordinator for the Beyond the Pill Program. This position will coordinate and implement a national training program dedicated to ensuring that the full range of contraceptive methods is available to all people. This evidence-based program seeks to increase the competency of health care providers to overcome barriers to offering all birth control methods and to provide patient-centered counseling, with a focus on advancing health equity and upholding reproductive autonomy.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clinics, organizations, and stakeholders to schedule, plan, and implement contraceptive trainings throughout the US (in-person and virtual).
- Assess training needs, coordinate with trainers, market trainings, and ensure quality standards.
- Attend trainings and conferences, and serve as representative for Beyond the Pill.
- Work closely with the training team to modify the curriculum, develop new resources, and provide technical assistance and follow-up to trained sites as needed.
- Collect and manage training data, manage purchase orders and reimbursements, and maintain CME accreditation.
- Contribute to data analyses and reports.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and strengthen the training program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of assisting, administering, organizing, or conducting training programs
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks
- Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail
- Regular travel to trainings and meetings throughout the U.S.
- Commitment to socioeconomic and racial/ethnic justice
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health or similar field
- Prior experience in the reproductive health field in training, service provision, research or administration
- Demonstrated expertise in contraceptive education and counseling
- Working knowledge of adult learning theories & education methodologies
