Jen Robinson (she/they) is the Director of the Southwest Contraception Access Network (SCAN), a Beyond the Pill project that provides contraceptive training and technical assistance to independent reproductive health clinics serving cross-state abortion patients.
She also serves as the Director of Clinical Training for the University of New Mexico Contraception Mentoring Program and as a reproductive health consultant for several state-wide health care organizations. Jen has worked in New Mexico as a dual board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and nurse midwife since 2010 and has specialized in contraceptive care and adolescent gynecology since 2015.
As a clinician trainer for Beyond the Pill, as well as ACOG’s Postpartum Contraception Access Initiative, Jen facilitates national trainings on improving equitable access to contraception and reproductive autonomy. Jen is especially proud to have worked on Beyond the Pill’s new curricula on providing contraceptive care to people in bigger bodies and to gender-expansive people.
In their spare time, Jen enjoys taking care of their two young children, walking along the arroyos in their neighborhood with the family chihuahua, and keeping their growing houseplant forest alive. They also love eating anything smothered in green chile and cheese.
